I received my bank card about four weeks ago. Upon my first attempt to use an ATM machine, my PIN number worked - but I put the amount in wrong. Got my card back, and all of a sudden, my PIN number doesn't work anymore. I try again later, and still doesn't work. I sent my card back to the bank and am supposed to get a new one in the mail. Nothing comes for two weeks. I go back again and they call, and are going to send me yet another one. About nine days later, it arrives - but the PIN number is seperate. Within the time of waiting for it to come in the mail, I go to Paris and my ex-guest house grandma is on vacation in the south of France. I wait all last week for her to get home, and behold! She shows up at my school with an envelope for me. But, alas, it's not a PIN number for my bank card, it's ANOTHER BANK CARD. Yes kids, they sent me a SECOND BANK CARD. Now, I have two bank cards, and no PIN numbers. It should arrive "within the next week"...too bad I'm moving on Saturday.
Sigh.
Go to the bank once again and show him the two cards and hold back the German swear words that I have learned and insults that shouldn't be coming out of my sweet mouth. In the end, she's probably going to have to mail me my PIN number...in Stuttgart. I wasn't aware before, but I guess I can go to the bank without a PIN and get money out with my card. This lands in the top ten of pains in the ass since I've been here.
On another note, keep a look out...I'll be posting pictures this week of what it looks like here, where I've been living and probably some food products. I like pictures of food.
I'm exhausted, homesick and depressed today. It's just one of those days where I really, really don't want to be here. Various factors contribute to this which I don't care to publish, and at least I can say I've survived Crapofzell (so far).
