Today consisted of lectures that ran from about 8:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. filled with relentless questions from people ranging from "Can my internship be in English?" to "Do you all have a scale so I can weigh my luggage before I go?" Both answers are no to those in case you were wondering. Did some final packing and made my way to the local grease pit (Cheese Steak Factory) and had some mozzerlla sticks - my last savory bite of those delicious creations for a long time. I didn't have a cheese steak, I'm not in Philadelphia and it didn't feel right.
Found out though today that a lot more is paid for than I realized...

2. Transportation to DC airport
3. Transporation to language school (Radolfzell)
4. 200 Euro month food stipend (August & September)

7. Housing at University of Stuttgart
8. 200 Euro month food stipend at University of Stuttgart (October - January)

12. Transporation costs to all seminars within Germany
13. Insurance (doctor and emergency)
14. "Bahn Card" (50% off ALL train tickets incl. to other countries)
Too bad beer isn't number 15 on the list...
I'm feeling very lucky right now - but very burdened at the same time.
Happy, sad, optimistic, worried, scared, anxious and excited also come to mind.

Oh Christine Christine Christine.
Honey..I am so proud of you and excited for you and so sad that I missed you at your party. I heard you weren't feeling well and went home. I tried to track you down at Moonshine and The Note..to send you off, but I must have just missed you.
This adventure will change your life. You will come back a new person (not that anything is wrong with you now!)....it will end up being one of the best things you've ever done in your life and you will never forget and never regret.
I read your blogs and enjoyed them, so I will be checking up on you and reliving my traveling experiences vicariously through you! Hooray!
I assume you found someone to take your kitties.
Wow...reading your last night in the US...just brought me back to the night before I left for Australia...and I remember feeling every emotion humans are capable of feeling, too! I was crazy! But, no worries, my dear, all will fall right into place when you get off the plane. You will feel like you are supposed to be there...right on time. Germany, and other parts of Europe will be waitng for you!
I MUST tell you a funny story...I saw you were going to be at The University of Stuttgart and I started laughing! My Dad's favorite country is Germany and he told me this crazy story about himself while he was in Germany long before I was born, right before I travelled to Germany. He was woken up by an elderly couple in Stuttgart, while lying naked next to his bike, in the countryside. Apparently, he had been hit by a VW van, while cycling through the countryside with large amounts of lager in his system. They took him in for a few days, fed him, clothed him, gave him medical attention, until he was better and able to find where he was supposed to be!!! I had to share!!
Lots of love and I will be thinking of you lots, too!!!
MUAH!!! BIG HUGGS!!

Hi Sweetie! Glad there is a lot of free shit. You did a lot today! I didn't do too much. Just went to work and the gym. Andy and I decided to reinstate "operation fat ass." Running like maniacs again. Run awaaaaay!!! Run awaaay! I can't wait to hear from you! I love you always and forever. And whenever you are feeling down, just sit in a quiet room and think about how we can make further innovations to the Toothpaste Remote!
XOXOXOXO!
Jax
