So, I am lucky enough to have washing facilities in my building. I guess. The only problem in though, that the washer is Eco Friendly and takes 2 1/2 hours to go through a whole wash cycle. How this is Eco Friendly, I really am not sure. Either way, tonight was pretty much one of the last straws. My building has a lot of short term apartment rentals that include fresh towels for their guests and EVERY TIME I go down to use the machines, they are filled with towels and hour into their wash cycle. So, tonight I wait it out as usual. The second machine is obviously broken due to the fact there are sloping wet towels laying in a pool of warm soapy water after the timer has run out. So in an fit of frustration, I wash everything together. Two and one half hours later in cold water, everything has turned a nice shade of green. I attempt to get the clothes out of the washer when they are just finishing the wash cycle, because the dryer is very un eco-friendly and could dry the ocean up in an hour (90 minutes left on the timer). But, albeit my cursing and tugging on the door it won't budge. Fumbling with the German washer settings I finally get it to a point where I *think* it will turn back on and finish whatever business it has to do - and doesn't go back on. I kick it, and all of a sudden it turns back on. I re-wash my whites in an attempt to get the greenish tint out, now they are grey and it's 2 am. I have accomplished nothing.
